RescueNet is a professionally trained volunteer organisation. The financial implications of deployments to disasters are covered by each RescueNet volunteer individually and add up to a considerable amount. Just to give an idea of the costs for a deployment; the Haiti deployment for the whole team was around € 35,000. The most important components in this amount are costs for tickets, transport of equipment, personal and team gear, medication, bandages, food and housing etc. etc. Usually RescueNet leaves many equipment items behind for local organisations and hospitals, victims and their families such as tent(s), waterfilters, medication, bandages, pots and pans. After every deployment RescueNet needs to restock supplies for next deployments. The annual costs for RescueNet are variable as it strongly depends on the number and the kind of deployments in a year.
RescueNet is therefore looking for sponsors to support the work in disaster areas. You can do this as a one-off gift, a monthly gift or a pledged amount for every deployment RescueNet will be involved in.
Next to that RescueNet also wants to partner with businesses for financial support or support in-kind. These “friends of RescueNet” will be offered a hyperlink to their business on this RescueNet website. In order to make RescueNet better known, promotional material can be made available or we do a presentation in your company sharing about our work in disaster areas.
